We had much to be thankful for in November here at Sunstone, with a strong month from the Investment Department and several other positive milestones.
New Records
With the month of December still ahead, the Investment Department reported $5.5 million in new investment for Q4 of 2024, the highest in that quarter to date. That outpaces Q3, and bodes well for 2025.
A good part of that success can be attributed to the robust investor engagement taken on by the investment team, with assists from Jennifer Huang and Cindy Lin. Kudos to Jasmine Jiang and Clark Hsu in particular, as well as the entire team.
Breakers Opens!
After five years of construction and more than $200 million in historical restoration and renovation, the Fairmont Breakers Long Beach opened its doors on Nov. 19 to great fanfare. From the historic Sky Room to the new Nettuno, restaurants and bars were packed and reservation lists full.

Sunstone Cities
I am incredibly happy to announce Sunstone Cities’ launch of a new engagement with another premier city in Southern California. The City of Pasadena has launched its project to create a non-profit economic development organization (EDO) with the help of Sunstone Cities! Congratulations to Jayro Sandoval and Ryan Phong for this mew contract.
These paid engagements with top tier cities fits the Sunstone Cities goals to enrich communities through economic development and public-private-partnership (P3).
Thankful
As we hurtle toward the end of 2024, we took a moment to give thanks for all of our partners in Sunstone’s various areas of interest. We couldn’t do what we do without their help.
And I am incredibly grateful for the team I’m privileged to work with here at Sunstone. I’m so thankful for my partners and friends John Shen, Stella Zhang, Queena Zhao and Mike Stone. It’s a joy to come to work each day to greet the team of experts – and friends – I get to share my days with as we work to make our world a better place.
